A twelve-step program is a set of guiding principles outlining a course of action for recovery from addiction, compulsion, or other behavioral problems. Originally proposed by Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) as a method of recovery from alcoholism, the Twelve Steps were first published in the 1939 book Alcoholics Anonymous: The Story of How More Than One Hundred Men Have Recovered from Alcoholism.

The method was adapted and became the foundation of other twelve-step programs. Here at Brunswick Christian Recovery Center Jesus Christ is the higher power and through him all things are possible.

Residents of Brunswick Christian Recovery Center will begin to work the twelve steps while they are here. They will work out of the Life Recovery Bible and workbook every day in private and group settings.

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
